Continuing Professional Development
Licenced Home Builders are required undertake regular professional development which will allow licence holders to keep up to date and remain highly skilled. By participating in professional learning activities licenced holders can earn Continuing Professional Development points (CPD points). The NSW Office of Fair Trading requires builders and tradespersons to earn a certain amount of CPD points before they can renew their licence.
Builders and pool builders have been required since 1 March 2004 to earn 100 CPD points every three years. A minimum of 25 points must be earned each year. The Workers Health Centre conducts training that provides course participants with CPD points that qualify to meet the NSW Office of Fair Trading guidelines.
