Our team of OHS professionals can undertake general or specific workplace assessments in your workplace. Our wide reaching expertise and experience enables us to provide a range of hazard assessments at reasonable fees.
General OHS SurveysA general OHS survey can identify potential hazards and work practices that may be a risk to health and safety in your workplace. We will then recommend practical measures to address these issues. We can appraise your OH&S policies and procedures and provide advice on workplace consultation arrangements.Home office inspectionsWe can perform an inspection in the home of workers who have an arrangement with their employer to fulfil part or all of their work commitments from a home based office. This assists the employer to meet their obligations to provide a safe place of work. We then provide a report to management that identifies deficiencies and provides recommendations that can be met by management.Ergonomics and Manual HandlingWe can undertake ergonomic assessments of workplaces, including manual handling and workplace design, and suggest practical control measures. We regularly conduct workstation assessments of staff who perform computer-based work. These assessments include:

InformationThe Workers Health Centre can provide information, via phone or email, on current OHS legislation and occupational health and safety hazards. This service is available to employers, employees, unions and students who may require information for research purposes. Our website provides access to OHS fact sheets and OHS links.Our Lidcombe office has an extensive resource library that has a variety of OHS Journals, National Standards, magazines, newsletter, research studies and copies of guidance material from WorkCover NSW. The library assists the Workers Health Centre providing their information service to the workplace. The library is accessible to employers, workers, union affiliates and students. It is not a borrowing library and visits need to be organised by contacting the OHS Department. OHS TrainingThe Workers Health Centre offers a range of training packages. See our training pages for more details.It is the practice of the Workers Health Centre to consult with management and workers through workplace health and safety committees. Reports are written in plain English, with careful explanation of medical and technical terms. |
